Steil Sponsors Bill to Help Veterans Receive Benefits

WASHINGTON, D.C.— Bryan Steil released a statement following his sponsorship of the bipartisan Blue Water Navy Vietnam Veterans Act of 2019.

"Wisconsin's First Congressional District is home to more than 45,000 veterans. Whether it's through casework help or legislative actions, I am here to support our American heroes. Our veterans must receive the benefits and care they've earned. An estimated 90,000 Vietnam veterans are prevented from receiving Department of Veterans Affairs benefits. This bill rights that wrong and guarantees our veterans have access to benefits, regardless if they served off the coast of Vietnam or put boots on the ground."
