Steil Announces Kenosha Achievement Center to Receive Federal Funds through Coronavirus Relief Bill

April 28, 2020

JANESVILLE, WISCONSIN—Bryan Steil announced that the Kenosha Achievement Center is one of six Wisconsin non-profits to receive Federal Transit Administration (FTA) dollars through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. In total, Wisconsin non-profits will receive $568,559 to help provide job access programs to low-income individuals where public transit is not feasible.

"The Kenosha Achievement Center provides opportunities for those with special needs and at risk youth and adults throughout Kenosha. The coronavirus pandemic has changed our way of life and made it difficult for people to access public transit and utilize the services they depend on. This FTA funding supports KAC's efforts to empower our community and provide transportation services for those who need it," said Steil.
