Steil to Hold Coronavirus Scam Prevention Telephone Town Hall
Bryan Steil and officials from the Federal Trade Commission, Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection, and AARP will hold a telephone town hall to provide our community with information to prevent, identify, and report scams during the COVID-19 pandemic. The telephone town hall will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at 10am.
Last year, Steil held an Identity Theft and Fraud Prevention Workshop at Gateway Technical College in Kenosha. More than 200 residents attended to receive tips and information to keep themselves protected against robocall scams.
Members of the media are encouraged to listen in, however, we respectfully request that members of the media refrain from asking questions during the telephone town hall so Bryan, FTC, DATCP, and AARP can answer as many questions from constituents as possible.
Constituents and members of the media interested in joining the town hall can do so by calling the following number at 10am CT: 877-229-8493 PIN# 118308
Members of the media planning to listen in should RSVP by emailing Congressman Bryan Steil's Communications Director, Sally Fox: Sally.Fox@mail.house.gov.
