Shelter and Food Assistance:
The Red Cross has set up two temporary shelters to provide housing and meals to affected residents. These are located at:

Reporting Flooding Home/Property Damage:
Milwaukee County residents:
Report any damage to homes and property through the county’s 2-1-1 hotline. Call 2-1-1 if you are experiencing property damage (ex. flooded basements or collapsed walls).
You can also complete a damage report on their website - https://211wisconsin.communityos.org/damage-report
Note: Reporting damage does not guarantee FEMA assistance but may help with disaster recovery efforts.
City of Cudahy residents:
In addition to reporting damage via 2-1-1, you should also report damage on the City’s website at: https://www.cudahy-wi.gov/community/report_a_problem.php
Milwaukee County Office of Emergency Management has a 24/7 number residents can call at (414) 257-4709 regarding emergency response and recovery efforts.
Flood Debris Pickups/Drop-offs:
Many Milwaukee County communities have posted updates on their Facebook page and website regarding special hours for flood debris pickups and drop-offs.

Cudahy's drop-off site at 5631 S. Pennsylvania Ave. The City will have extended hours this week: Monday to Wednesday 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. More information about accepted items is available on the City's website.

Garbage, furniture, and carpeting can be taken to Waste Management Metro Landfill, 12200 W. South County Line Road. Hours are Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. (414-529-6180).
The Franklin Department of Public Works is coordinating efforts for pickup of flood-damaged items, excluding electronics, appliances, and liquids. Please contact the Clerk's Office at 414-425-7500 by Friday, August 15th, to provide your address.

Greendale's recycling center is open and accepting drop offs at 6351 Industrial Loop, Greendale, WI 53219. Hours are Monday to Friday 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
From Aug. 18 to 29, there will be curbside pickup of flood-damaged items on garbage and recycling days.

Hales Corners is working with its waste contractor to arrange a special pickup of flood damaged materials.
Waste should not be placed in the street. More information will be posted on the village's Facebook page.

Road closures remain in effect
The Recycling Yard is operating under extended hours on Wednesday, August 13 - Saturday, August 16 from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. for storm debris drop-off.

Storm-related pickups will be free of charge this week through Aug. 15. Call the Street Department at (414) 768-8075 to request a pickup.

The City of St. Franicis' garbage contractor, will continue to schedule bulk garbage pick up at our resident addresses as defined in our contract once weekly.
To schedule a bulk pick up, please call (262) 473-4700. Each resident address is entitled to two bulk pick ups monthly.

Temporary Storage Facilities: Some storage facilities in Southeast Wisconsin are offering 30 days of free storage for affected residents, including self-storage rentals or portable storage units, which must remain on site at one of 11 locations in the area.

Energy/Utility Issues: Contact We Energies to disconnect and reconnect power.
We Energies recommends assuming basement flood water is energized, even if it's a small amount on the floor.
We Energies customers can disconnect power by calling 800-662-4797 before starting cleanup activities.
