WASHINGTON, D.C.—Congressman Bryan Steil (WI-01) urged Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers to provide transparency on Wisconsin's COVID-19 vaccine distribution plan. Steil was joined by Wisconsin Senator Tammy Baldwin in this request.

KENOSHA, WISCONSIN—Today at a press conference in Kenosha, Congressman Bryan Steil announced a $4.4 million grant for Southeast Wisconsin to eliminate lead paint from low-income homes. Steil joined U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Midwest Regional Administrator Joseph Galvan, HUD Deputy Secretary Brian Montgomery, Kenosha County Human Services Director John Jansen, and Kenosha County Health Officer Dr. Jen Freiheit at the Kenosha County Job Center for the announcement.

JANESVILLE, WISCONSIN—Today, Bryan Steil was the featured speaker during a live virtual panel with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Racine County. During the Zoom meeting with NAMI Racine County, Steil discussed his bill, the Mental Health and Substance Abuse Support During COVID-19 Act, and work in Congress to provide mental health resources to Southeast Wisconsin.

Panelists from a variety of local, state, and federal organizations provided insight on mental health challenges facing our children and best practices, especially during the coronavirus crisis.

Bryan Steil will hold a virtual Children's Mental Health Forum on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at 10am CT. Steil and local, state, and federal panelists will bring attention to issues surrounding children's mental health, ending the stigma, learning best practices, and understanding COVID-19's impact on children. Last year, Steil held a Children's Mental Health Forum at Case High School in Racine.

WASHINGTON, D.C.—As schools begin making decisions about when and how to reopen, Bryan Steil is working with Republicans and Democrats to ensure students, teachers, and staff are safe while in the classroom. Steil cosponsored H.R. 7029, the Protect our Children from COVID-19 Act, to require the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to conduct a study, by August, on the transmissibility of COVID-19 in children.
