WASHINGTON, D.C.—Bryan Steil calls on Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers to clarify how Wisconsin's nearly $2 billion allotment from the CARES Act has been spent. The most recent public data from the U.S. Treasury Department found that 3.8%, or $75 million, of Wisconsin's nearly $2 billion CARES Act money has been spent.
Wisconsin's first district representative, Rep. Bryan Steil, vocalized his hopes to get students in classrooms this fall during a call-in town hall meeting Thursday afternoon.
Steil opened the meeting by focusing on students returning to school this fall, touching on issues surrounding the spring's sudden turn to remote learning.
"This pandemic, I think, has had some really significant consequences on students and its important that we support them during this upcoming school year," Steil said.

This on-ramp gives EGCs the opportunity to access public capital markets to fund critical investment and growth by granting them appropriately tailored exemptions from certain costly regulatory requirements.
