The House will vote Tuesday night on whether to pass a bill introduced by Rep. Bryan Steil (R-WI) to help grow small businesses.

Rep. Steil introduced the "Expanding Investment in Small Businesses Act of 2019" on May 30. Steil said the bill is meant to do two things: allow people to invest in small businesses and give small businesses access to capital to help grow their businesses within their community.

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Today, Bryan Steil's bill, H.R. 3050, the Expanding Investment in Small Businesses Act of 2019, passed through the U.S. House of Representatives by a vote of 417-2. This is Steil's first stand-alone bill to pass the House.

Representative Bryan Steil hired Ryan Vishaway.

He will be Wisconsin's First Congressional District's Wounded Warrior Fellow.

They're responsible for veteran outreach, military casework and service academy nominations.

Through the House of Representatives' Wounded Warrior Fellowship Program, Vishaway serves as the Director of Veterans and Military Affairs in our office. Vishaway is responsible for veteran outreach, veteran and military casework, and service academy nominations. Vishaway is the first Wounded Warrior Fellow to serve the First District.

Will new tariff threats from President Donald Trump overshadow his meeting with Chinese leaders at the G-20 summit this weekend?

A cloud of uncertainty loomed over the arrival of both President Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping in Osaka, Japan on Thursday.

An impending meeting of the minds to talk trade will happen between the two but it comes after new threats from Trump to levy hundreds of billions more in tariffs against Chinese imports.

U.S. Rep. Bryan Steil, R-Wis., will take the "wins" no matter how big or small — in this case, small.

During negotiations with the House Rules Committee, Steil authored two amendments totaling $2.5 million, that provide some funding for dairy farmers and veteran suicide prevention.

On veteran suicide, Steil's amendment, if signed into law, would mandate that the Department of Veteran Affairs dedicate at least $1 million toward preventing veteran suicide, which includes treatment for mental health.
