WASHINGTON, D.C.—Bryan Steil released a statement after voting in favor of the Coronavirus Preparedness and Response Supplemental Appropriations Act. The bill now heads to the Senate.
Wisconsin Congressman Bryan Steil said he is confident the federal government is doing all it can to address the coronavirus. Steil met with Vice President Mike Pence at the White House on Tuesday, March 3 -- and shared the conversation with FOX6 News.
In a room typically reserved for war, 14 members of Congress met with the vice president to tackle a new enemy -- coronavirus.
"I walked away from the briefing far more confident that we are doing everything we can to address this disease," Steil said.

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Today, House Financial Services Committee member, Rep. Bryan Steil (WI-01), introduced H.R. 6015, the Stop Evasion of Iran Sanctions Act. Steil's bill gives the Secretary of the Treasury the explicit authority to sanction a financial institution operating outside the United States that knowingly conducts a significant sanctionable transaction related to the Instrument in Support of Trade Exchanges (INSTEX).
WASHINGTON, D.C.—Today, Bryan Steil attended a congressional-wide briefing on the coronavirus by public health and infectious disease experts.
"Today's briefing provided an update on the Administration's efforts to combat the coronavirus. Protecting our communities will require federal, state, and local officials to work together. I support Congress movingly quickly to provide funding to fight this disease. Anyone in Southeast Wisconsin wanting up-to-date information should visit cdc.gov," said Steil.
WASHINGTON, D.C.—Today, Bryan Steil testified before the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee on the need to support Great Lakes funding. Specifically, Steil requested that the Great Lakes Coastal Resiliency Study and the Brandon Road Project are funded in the 2020 Water Resources Development Act (WRDA).

RACINE, WISCONSIN—Today, Bryan Steil announced that the Wisconsin Regional Training Partnership was awarded $1,998,251 in federal funding through the Department of Labor's Apprenticeship: Closing the Skills Gap grant program. The Wisconsin Regional Training Partnership has an office in Racine dedicated to serving our Southeast Wisconsin community.
