A proposed piece of legislation aims to help local law enforcement find fentanyl and other dangerous drugs.

The Providing Officers With Electronic Resources (POWER) Act, if passed, would establish a new grant program within the Department of Justice to help law enforcement acquire high-tech, portable chemical screening devices that assist officers in the detection of fentanyl and other dangerous drugs.

"Today we honor our law enforcement. As I meet with our police officers, sheriffs, and first responders, issues concerning fentanyl are front of mind. We must ensure law enforcement and first responders have the tools to keep themselves safe from exposure. I will continue supporting our law enforcement in Congress," said Steil.

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Today, Bryan Steil released a statement after the House overwhelmingly voted to pass the United States-Mexico-Canada Trade Agreement (USMCA).

"USMCA is a win for Wisconsin farmers, workers, and families. USMCA is an improved trade deal with Canada and Mexico. It allows Wisconsin workers to sell our products to our allies. Throughout my first year in office, I have pushed for USMCA to be brought to the floor. I am proud to support Wisconsin's agriculture and manufacturing industries."

"Today, I voted against impeaching President Trump. From the start, I have been opposed to impeachment.
