JANESVILLE, WISCONSIN—Bryan Steil (R-WI-01) and Dean Phillips (D-MN-03) made a friendly wager ahead of Sunday's Packers-Vikings game at Lambeau Field. If the Packers win, Phillips will deliver Steil a 25-pound Pearson's salted nut roll and beer from Excelsior Brewing Company and Minnetonka's Unmapped Brewing. If the Vikings beat the Packers, Steil will give Phillips Wisconsin cheddar cheese from Mars Cheese Castle and a case of Janesville Gray's Honey Ale.
WASHINGTON, D.C.—At today's House Financial Services Committee hearing, Bryan Steil outlined the underlying problems of rising higher education costs and the need to redirect federal efforts to make education affordable for students and parents.

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Today, Bryan Steil released a statement on the budget agreement.
"Our budget process is broken and Washington has a spending problem. Congress cannot continue to spend without a plan to pay for it. Our nation is $22 trillion in debt. Rather than promoting fiscal responsibility and providing a plan towards a balanced budget, this bill adds $300 billion to the debt. I continue to work with my colleagues to improve our budget process and bring fiscal responsibility back to Congress."
Bryan Steil will host a Children's Mental Health Forum for parents and families in Southeast Wisconsin on August 1, 2019. Panelists include experts from the federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, U.S. Department of Education, Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, Racine Collaborative for Children's Mental Health, and Racine County Human Services office. This is an opportunity for parents and families to learn from experts and to discuss best practices regarding mental health.
